OUR PROCESS IN DETAIL
The uniqueness of the Rapid S originates from the use of
a pre-solidified piece of aluminium, the so-called entalphy
exchange material. This melts during the slurry forming
step while being stirred. Consequently, we can in a simple
and precise manner control the final temperature and solid
fraction of the slurry and also ensure that the formed
grains are globular (non-dendritic). The fact that the
latent heat of the metal is so large as compared to its
specific heat results in a process with a high degree
of robustness.
