The use of Rapid S opens up new possibilities for all foundries. Better functionality - larger margins - new, additional markets.
As seen in the phase diagram there is an area where the melt interval is very low.
This is a problem area, a slurry can be made, but feedability is reduced. For some parts casting can be done - but with a very small process window.
